Hi all!!
It's currently a Sunday afternoon and I have a pile of homework I have yet to complete. But here I am typing away, and doing something I enjoy. I suppose homework is meant to help you understand and learn, but some of the most valuable lessons in life just don't seem to be taught in textbooks, rather, they are learnt from experiences. I guess that's the reason as to why I'm writing this post right now. I believe that you must fail in order to succeed. Life is one big 'trial and error' and it's not shameful to make mistakes.
Upon turning sixteen, I have started to think about all the things that I have learnt in my sixteen years and a week of being. I have compiled a list of things that I wanted to share with you all. So here it goes..

- Surrounding yourself with the right people is vital
- Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary but 90% of the time it's worth it
- You don't need money to have fun
- Expect nothing, and make the best out of everything
- Hard work does pay off
- If you don't know something, don't hesitate to ask -- it's better to be stupid for a moment than be stupid for a lifetime
- New friendships can be created just as easily as old ones can end
- The little things in life aren't little
- Don't wish for it, work for it
- Accept the apology that you never received and move on -- for your own sake
- Be considerate of others, but put yourself first
- If you've learnt something, then it was worth it
- Trying your best is all you can really do, and that's enough
- Never give up what you love to do, keep that fire burning, however big or small
- Your life is in your hands, if you don't shape it, someone else will
- Let people know how much you appreciate and love them (if you do)
- Being 'different' is a-okay -- "You will never influence the world by trying to be like it"
- Taking photos are a great way to remember moments, but don't get too carried away that you forget to live in the moment
And yeah, that's about it. I know it's quite lame and all and not everyone may agree with me, and that's fine. But I do hope it has somewhat taught you something, or that it has helped you see things in a different light. Please comment what you think, I'd love to know!
Thanks for reading! :)
